Dr. Regina Rocha
Dr. Rocha has been teaching endodontics at the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry in Chicago since 2007. In addition to teaching she also is currently providing endodontic services to her private patients at Michigan Avenue Dental Associates. Dr. Rocha recieved her doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) from Bahia Federal University, Brazil where she also received her post doctorate advanced specialty training in endodontics.

Dr. Rocha was born and raised in Salvador, Brazil and like many adventurous young students enjoyed the thoughts of traveling the world. Her main destination was to see teh United States but not before she completed her education. Her education was always paramount. Finally after completing her specialy training in endodontics in Brazil she knew it was time to act on her adeventurous spirit and see the world. She applied and was accepted to the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry for additional post doctorate training.

Here in Chicago she received her Master's Degree (MS) in Oral Sciences. Soon thereafter she entered into the Dental School's post doctorate endodontic program to receive additional training in endodontics and soon thereafter received her specialty license to practice endodontics in the United States. While at the University she earned several research awards including the Himan Excellence award in student reserach in 2004, the SIGMA XI Graduate Basic Science Award in 2005, the American Association of Endodontics Resident Award in 2006 and was honored to be requested to join the faculty of the University of Illinois Dental School in 2007 to teach undergraduate and post doctorate students in the Department of Endodontics. In 2008 Dr. Roch was requsted to accept the honor of serving as a member of the scientific advisory board of the Journal of Endodontics.

Along with her academic journey of rigorous academic accomplishments, Dr. Roch married and had a beautiful daughter. Not allowing her academic accomplishments to put out the candle light of family; the countless late night hours of studying are now spent with her daughter- enjoying her motherhood.
