Dr. Joseph Baptist
Dr. Baptist is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He completed his residency training at Loyola University Medical Center. He has a strong skill set in dental implant procedures, bone and soft tissue grafting procedures, and orthognathic surgical procedures. Additionally, he is well versed in the treatment and reconstruction of pathology and trauma of the oral and facial regions and surgical and non-surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea. He is well trained in anesthesia and can perform surgical procedures under intravenous anesthesia for patient comfort.
Dr. Baptist was raised in Downers Grove, IL, where he attended Downers Grove South High School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. His education continued at University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2009. He graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society in 2009.
He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and American Dental Association, as well as the Illinois State Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society. He is a fellow of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Baptist currently resides in Palos Heights with his wonderful wife, two spirited children, and their friendly dog. His personal interests include automotive mechanics, carpentry, film, literature, and travel.
