Oral Pathology

Just like other areas of your body, your mouth can develop conditions that are not normal.  Frequently these conditions are relatively mild and may not be problematic (although sometimes they are quite apparent!).  However, they can still cause health problems of the jaws, teeth, and gums.  It is important to have an evaluation of any unusual bump, lump, color change, or other irregularity in your mouth.

Depending on the condition a clinical examination by an experienced surgeon may be all that is necessary to diagnose and treat the situation.  Sometimes however a biopsy may be recommended to determine exactly what the condition is and adjust treatment to your specific needs. Having an evaluation by Dr. Baptist will help to determine what is necessary to resolve the issue.
